The setback forced him to miss the subsequent Test series. At the same time, he also withdrew from the Lanka Premier League (LPL) despite returning to the national setup for the ODI series against Zimbabwe without regaining full fitness. As per reports, Litton was scheduled to travel to Singapore on July 20 for a specialist assessment of his calf injury. The board called him and asked him why and with whose permission," a BCB source told the website. The Bangladesh skipper appeared before the disciplinary committee on Sunday and presented his explanation. The board is now consulting its medical committee to verify his account before taking a final call on the matter. The controversy comes at a busy time for Bangladesh cricket, with the team’s proposed tour of India reportedly close to receiving final approval, while its scheduled T20I series against Afghanistan is expected to be rescheduled.
