The announcement was made by the Health Minister after a meeting with representatives of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA), who confirmed that the talks had yielded a positive outcome. With the protest now on hold, doctors are set to resume work from today, restoring normal medical services in government healthcare facilities. The decision is expected to ease the difficulties faced by patients who had been affected during the agitation. High-Level Committee to Examine DemandsAs part of the agreement reached during the meeting, the state government has decided to constitute a high-level committee to examine the demands raised by OMSA. The committee will include the Secretaries of the Health, General Administration, Finance, and Law departments, ensuring that the issues are reviewed from administrative, financial, and legal perspectives. First Meeting Scheduled on July 22The newly formed committee will hold its first meeting on July 22 to begin discussions on the association's demands. OMSA described the talks with the government as successful and expressed hope that the committee would work towards resolving the pending issues through dialogue. The suspension of the protest marks a significant breakthrough after negotiations between the state government and the doctors' association. With healthcare services resuming immediately, the focus now shifts to the committee's deliberations and the government's response to the demands placed before it.
