Luka Vuskovic‘s sale is one that stands out, withthe Croat sold for £50 millionwhile Tottenham also secured a 20 per cent sell-on clause and matching rights. Dragusin’s departure is another notable piece of business, with the Romanian joining Fiorentina on loan before the Italian side are expected to pay £21. 4 million next season for the 24-year-old. That should give supporters confidence that Tottenham can continue to negotiate strongly if more players leave, with Lucas Bergvall the latest player to attract transfer interest. However,Spurs did not hesitate to reject £38 million and £46 million bids from Nottingham Forest and Newcastle Unitedafter both offers fell short of the north London club’s valuation.
