Location:Buncrana, Co. Donegal or DublinJob Type:Full-TimeThe RoleThis is a role for someone who wants to be at the centre of an accounts function, not on the edge of one. Someone who'd rather have variety and real responsibility than the same narrow routine every day. This is a small finance team supporting a large business — eleven gaming venues across Ireland and Northern Ireland, our online casino, and everything that comes with them. That means you won't have one lane. You'll work across the whole accounts function: payables, receivables, credit control, reconciliations, payroll, VAT and reporting — often in the same week, sometimes in the same day. The work matters immediately. Payroll, payments and reporting are live from your first week — this isn't a role where you shadow someone for six months before touching anything real. You'll see the effect of what you do the same week you do it. We care more about how you think than what's on your CV. If you've got solid accounts experience, an eye for detail, and you're the kind of person who spots a broken process and fixes it rather than working around it — we want to hear from you. The title and pay match what you bring. One more thing, and it matters: we're an AI-forward company. Everyone here, up to Senior Management and Director level, uses AI tools daily for real work — and finance is no exception. We're not looking for an AI expert. We're looking for an accounts person who already uses AI to work better, wants to get better at it, and sees it for what it is: the biggest change in how this kind of work gets done in a generation. If that excites you rather than worries you, keep reading. What the Work Looks LikeReporting to the Financial Controller, your day-to-day will include:Accounts payable— processing supplier invoices, matching to purchase orders and delivery dockets, running payment runs, and reconciling supplier statementsAccounts receivable— raising sales and inter-company invoices, allocating receipts, and keeping the sales ledger accurate and currentBank and payment provider reconciliations— reconciling multiple bank accounts and payment gateway statements, and chasing down discrepancies until they're resolvedPayroll— preparing and processing payroll including PAYE, PRSI and USC, managing starters and leavers, and hitting every Revenue deadlineVAT— preparing and filing accurate returns on timeCost analysis— reviewing costs across the business, spotting trends and savings opportunities, and supporting budgeting and forecastingWeekly and monthly reporting— producing the management reports the business actually uses, and supporting month-end closeAccounts postings and admin— accurate, timely posting to the accounting system, keeping a clean, audit ready ledger, plus the general administration that keeps the office runningMaking the work better— using the AI tools we'll give you to take the repetitive parts of all of the above and make them faster, cleaner, or unnecessaryYou may also be interested inThis list isn't a boundary. If you see a process that's slower or messier than it should be, improving it is part of the job — and you'll have the tools to actually do it. About YouYou've spotted an error nobody else noticed — and you couldn't let it go until you found the cause • You've chased a late payer for the third time without anyone asking you toYou've used AI to get real work done — drafting, checking, summarising, analysing — not just out of curiosity, but because it was genuinely faster or betterWhen you see what AI can do, your first thought is "what else could I use this for" — you’re not threatened or intimidated by itYou’ve looked at how something was being done and thought "there’s a better way" — and then actually done it the better wayPeople trust you with sensitive information without thinking twiceYou don't need to tick every box. But you should be nodding at most of it. What We're Looking ForHands-on accounts experience— you've personally run payables, receivables or reconciliations in a bookkeeping or accounts role, ideally with exposure to accounting software and payrollA real AI habit— you already use tools like ChatGPT or Claude for actual work, and you want to go a lot further. You don't need to have built anything technical — you need genuine interest and a track record of actually using itAn eye for detail that doesn't switch off— accuracy is a habit, not an effort. AI speeds up the work; it doesn't excuse sloppy numbersA self-starter— you see what needs doing and do it, without waiting for a briefOrganised under pressure— multiple deadlines, multiple priorities, and you still hit themA clear communicator— you can explain a set of numbers to someone who doesn't live in spreadsheetsYou have opinions— you can look at a finance process and say what's working, what's not, and whyA relevant qualification — ATI/IATI, or part-qualified ACCA/ACA — is an advantage, but not essential. What matters is what you can do. Who We AreCoastline Gaming is one of Ireland's most established gaming and entertainment operators, with eleven venues nationwide and our fast-growing online casino. For over 40 years, we've been creating spaces where people come to enjoy themselves — not a startup that might not be around tomorrow. We're stable, we're growing, and we invest in the people who run the business day to day. We're also serious about AI — not as a talking point, but as how we work. Leadership uses these tools daily, the company pays for the best of them, and the people who lean in are the ones who get on here.
