Region of Waterloo Public Health Bus gets new facelift

Posted Aug 10, 2026 02:29:34 PM. Last Updated Aug 10, 2026 02:35:09 PM. The Region of Waterloo’s Public Health Neighbourhood Bus is back on the streets of Waterloo with a new look, says a new release, after those vaccinated on the bus in the past year were given a chance to decide its new paint job. The “neighbourhood bus” is a Region of Waterloo Public Health (RWPH) mobile unit that brings public health services to neighbourhoods across the region. The mobile clinic is often a vaccination site for those around Waterloo Region. When operating, the bus is staffed by registered nurses who help the public with health-related questions and with finding local health services. The New LookRWPH says the bright, multi-coloured new design was voted upon by those who were vaccinated on the bus within the past year. The design features speech bubbles along its side windows that show the phrase “welcome neighbour” in both English, and a number of other languages, including those of Indigenous dialects spoken in the region. It has become a trusted presence in many communities. Sometimes a conversation on the bus is the first step in helping someone feel connected to care and support. ”More information on the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health Neighbourhood Bus and its full schedule this summer can be foundon the Region of Waterloo’s website.
