Northwood Edinburgh has relocated to a larger, modern office in Leith following a period of substantial growth, underpinned in part by investment in sales training and mentoring with Sales Geek Scotland. The lettings, estate agency and property management business, which serves Edinburgh and the Lothians, has moved to 16-1 Timber Bush, Leith, EH6 6QH, as its workforce grows to 18 employees. The relocation brings Northwood’s Stockbridge and Leith teams together under one roof, creating space for continued expansion across Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and surrounding areas. A smaller staff presence will remain at the firm’s Stockbridge office, maintaining a visible presence on the busy high street, with team members rotating to support local clients. Lewis Mallen, Managing Director of Northwood Edinburgh, said: “We’ve now outgrown both of our existing offices, so moving into a larger space in Leith allows us to bring the team together under one roof, which is a big step forward for our team ethos. “Having everyone in one place helps us build on the positive momentum we’ve created, while also making it easier for contractors and partners to work with us. Leith is a vibrant, well-connected part of the city, and it feels like the right fit for where we are as a business. “This move gives us the platform to continue growing into the business we know we can be. The team is expanding, and we’re excited about what comes next. ”A key driver behind Northwood Edinburgh’s recent development has been the growth of its estate agency sales function. This has been supported through an ongoing partnership with Sales Geek Scotland, which provides sales leadership, training, mentoring and consultancy to businesses across the country. Initially focused on targeted one-to-one training, the relationship developed into a broader programme supporting Northwood Edinburgh’s sales processes, recruitment approach, reporting structures and lead management. The work has contributed to stronger conversion rates, increased momentum and a growing share of higher-value properties, including homes valued at more than £1 million. Mallen said: “Working with Sales Geek Scotland, led by co-director Davie Sneddon, has helped us strengthen our approach to recruitment, structure and processes across the sales function. “They’ve helped us introduce clearer reporting and ways of working that have made a real difference day to day. It’s had a broader impact than we initially expected and has supported the progress we’ve made as a team. ”Northwood Edinburgh’s estate agency division has grown from representing 3% of total business revenue to around 10%, while its lettings operation continues to perform strongly with 700 managed properties. Davie Sneddon, co-director of Sales Geek Scotland, said: “Lewis and the team had strong foundations. Our role was to bring structure, sharpen the sales operation, and unlock the potential that was already there. Seeing their momentum now is great to see. “This is only the beginning for Northwood Edinburgh. The foundations are in place for long-term, sustainable growth. ”Operating within one of the UK’s most competitive residential property markets, Northwood Edinburgh attributes its recent progress to the strength of its systems, its expanding team and its distinctive offering. This includes Northwood’s Guaranteed Rent service, a franchise USP established 25 years ago, which provides landlords with a fixed rental income paid each month. With Edinburgh’s large student population, professional workforce and steady flow of short-term movers, the business believes there remains substantial untapped potential within its existing franchise territory. It is also open to future acquisition opportunities as it continues to grow. Sales Geek Scotland, led by Davie Sneddon and Peter Barclay, works with SMEs and scaling organisations across Scotland to build sales capability through strategic frameworks, mentoring and practical sales leadership.
