FDA Seals Ketan Agrawal Murder Accused's Family Shop In Pune (Representational image)Photo :Times NowThe Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched action against a spice shop owned by the father of Siya Goyal, an accused in the Ketan Agrawal murder case, seizing food products worth nearly ₹8 lakh during an inspection in Pune. FDA officials conducted a raid at B. G. Goyal & Company, located in Pune's Market Yard area, and collected samples of turmeric powder, sesame seeds and soya chunks for laboratory testing. During the inspection, officials found alleged violations related to food labelling and suspected possible adulteration. As a precautionary measure, around 4,000 kg of food products valued at approximately ₹8 lakh were seized. The collected samples have been sent for detailed analysis. The FDA has also issued a notice directing the establishment to suspend business operations until further orders, citing non-compliance with mandatory legal provisions and the failure to update its food licence as required. According to FDA officials, the inspection revealed prima facie violations of food safety regulations. Further legal action will be initiated after the laboratory test reports are received. The shop belongs to the father of Siya Goyal, who is facing charges in the Ketan Agrawal murder case.
