The Smarter Web Company – Weekly Update – Saturday 01st August 2026

One of the interesting characteristics of financial markets is that they often feel the quietest just before they become the most interesting. Andrew WebleyAs we move through the summer, financial markets naturally become quieter. Many people are on holiday, trading volumes often reduce, and it can feel as though very little is happening. That should not be confused with what is happening inside companies. Whilst markets may appear quieter, management teams, advisers and partners are frequently working just as hard, using the period to complete projects, strengthen businesses and prepare for the months ahead. That has certainly been the case at Smarter Web. Since becoming a public company, we have worked to push the business forward every week. Whilst our share price has been under pressure and Bitcoin has gone through a difficult period, our business has continued to get stronger. Day by day. Week by week. Month by month. Whilst shareholders will naturally only see announcements we make publicly, there is often more happening behind the scenes than we can currently discuss. Some of that work has already become visible through the continued strengthening of our balance sheet and the simplification of our capital structure. Much of it remains under development, and I look forward to sharing more as and when we are able. Of course, nobody knows what Bitcoin will do over the coming weeks or months. The recent correction may continue, or it may already be behind us. As bullish on Bitcoin near term as I am, I certainly don’t claim to know. However, what I do know is that Bitcoin has historically experienced periods of consolidation followed by extended periods of growth. Every cycle has felt uncertain whilst it was happening, and history suggests that those who spend the quieter periods preparing are often the ones best positioned when momentum returns. Personally, I think there are encouraging signs that sentiment is beginning to improve. We are seeing more constructive conversations around Bitcoin treasury companies, institutional participation continues to improve, and the capital markets are steadily developing the financing tools that I believe will define the next phase of our industry. September has also historically marked the point where many investors return from the summer, and attention shifts back towards financial markets. Whether that proves meaningful this year remains to be seen, but it does make this an excellent time to ensure that Smarter Web is as well prepared as possible for whatever comes next. Over recent months we have worked hard to strengthen the Company. We hold approximately 2,700 Bitcoin, the largest publicly quoted corporate Bitcoin treasury in the UK. We have simplified our balance sheet through the recent early repayment of Smarter Convert, leaving the business with a cleaner and more transparent capital structure from which to grow. At the same time, we continue to develop the next phase of our capital markets strategy. Whilst I cannot comment on matters that have not yet been announced, I remain extremely excited about the opportunities that we believe are beginning to emerge, both for Smarter Web and for the wider Bitcoin treasury sector. Our philosophy has always been straightforward. We cannot control markets, and we cannot predict the short-term direction of Bitcoin. What we can control is the quality of our execution. If the next phase of Bitcoin’s journey is approaching, our objective is simple: to ensure that Smarter Web is ready. This week has been somewhat unusual in that there have been no regulatory announcements to report. Since becoming a public company, more than 15 months ago, we have averaged around 2. 5 announcements per week, making this a relatively rare occurrence. However, that should not be interpreted as a quiet week. Quite the opposite. We remain focused on execution and look forward to sharing further updates as soon as we are able. I do appreciate that many shareholders would like to hear more about some of the work currently underway. As a listed company, we must ensure that any material information is communicated to all investors fairly and at the appropriate time. Whilst that can occasionally make these updates feel a little less detailed than I would like, I hope you can be assured that the team continues to work extremely hard on behalf of all shareholders. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for taking the time to read these weekly updates. We remain focused on execution and on building long-term value for all shareholders, and I look forward to updating you again next week.
