VINCI grows revenue as infrastructure pipeline strengthens - Aggregates Business

Image: PhotoChur/stock. adobe. comVINCI has reported higher first-half revenue and EBITDA alongside a record order book, while expanding its construction and materials operations internationally. VINCI hasreported higher revenueand EBITDA for the first half of 2026, with its order book reaching a record level amid continued demand for major infrastructure investment. Group revenue increased 2 per cent during the first half, including growth of 4 per cent in the second quarter, while EBITDA increased 4 per cent. Earnings per share rose 11 per cent, and the company maintained its guidance for 2026. Order intake increased 8 per cent, taking VINCI’s order book to a record level as the company continues to target infrastructure investment across its international markets. VINCI chief executive officer Pierre Anjolras said geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty had not diminished the longer-term need for infrastructure investment. “Furthermore, this context reinforces the belief that the need for investments in essential infrastructure (energy, digitalisation, mobility and urban development) will continue to surge in the medium and long term, driven by sovereignty challenges around the various regions of the world,”he said. The first-half performance comes as VINCI Construction continues to expand its international operations, including through acquisitions that have added quarrying, asphalt production and major infrastructure capabilities. In May, VINCI Construction acquiredModern Group of Companiesin New Brunswick, Canada, adding an integrated road construction and materials business to its existing operations in eastern Canada. Modern Group operates two aggregate quarries and produces asphalt mixes alongside its roadworks and civil engineering activities. The business generated approximately €50 million in revenue in 2025 and employs 160 people. The acquisition complements VINCI Construction’s Northern Construction business, which joined the group in 2022 and operates across road construction, aggregates and asphalt production in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. VINCI Construction also completed its acquisition ofFletcher Construction in New Zealandduring the first half, further expanding its exposure to infrastructure investment. Fletcher Construction employs more than 2300 people and generates annual revenue of approximately €630 million. Its operations cover road, rail, airport, port, maritime and hydraulic infrastructure, alongside a growing renewable energy business. The business joins VINCI Construction’s existing New Zealand operations, including HEB Construction, SOL and Wharehine. VINCI generated more than €830 million in revenue across its New Zealand activities during 2025. “These various moves are continuing to boost the Group’s international footprint,”Anjolras said.
