Franna grows Middle East presence as global expansion continues

Vinay Kittur, Regional Sales Manager, Franna - A Terex Brand. Image: Franna. Franna has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with the appointment of Vinay Kittur as Regional Sales Manager as part of its international growth strategy. The appointment follows Franna’s strong position in Australia and growing success in India. The company said it is investing in regional expertise to support customers and distributors while increasing awareness of its pick and carry crane technology across the construction, infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors. “The Middle East represents an important growth market for Franna and forms a key part of our long-term international strategy,” said Jaideep Shekhar, Vice President & Managing Director, Terex Materials Processing. “Our ambition is to bring the same levels of product quality and support that have underpinned our success in Australia and India to customers around the world. The appointment of Vinay will help us strengthen relationships with customers and distributors while accelerating awareness of the unique benefits that Franna cranes can deliver. ”Kittur brings more than 16 years of experience across the industrial equipment, lifting solutions and material handling sectors throughout the Middle East and Africa. He has held regional sales leadership roles and has experience in distribution development and business growth across several markets. In his new role, Kittur will focus on expandingFranna’s presenceacross the Middle East and growing awareness of the company’s pick and carry cranes. While the Franna name is well known in Australia, where it has become closely associated with pick and carry cranes, the technology is still relatively underused in many international markets. Franna said its pick and carry cranes can replace work traditionally carried out by smaller truck cranes. Because they do not require outriggers or stabiliser legs, they can be deployed more quickly. Designed to lift and move loads within confined work areas, the cranes also offer good visibility, manoeuvrability and productivity across a range of applications. “I am excited to join Franna because this role gives me the opportunity to help change the way people think about lifting and cranes,” said Kittur. “My focus will be on building the right distribution network across the region and working closely with them to increase awareness of the productivity, safety and efficiency benefits that Franna cranes can bring to customer operations. ”“My vision is to see Franna represented across every major sector in the region and to establish the brand as the first choice for pick and carry crane applications. “These cranes offer a versatile and practical lifting solution, and I am confident that once customers experience their capabilities firsthand, they will recognise the significant value they can deliver, whether in oil and gas, mining, construction, assembly or steel erection applications. ”Franna’s manufacturing facility in India spans more than 3,500 square metres and supplies both the domestic market and export customers. The company said the facility supports its international growth strategy by providing products for customers around the world while maintaining the quality and reliability for which the brand is known in Australia.
