5 August 2026Credit: Red Rock BBQ in Ras Al KhaimahA three-year creative retainer, and a new destination proposition to go with it – that's the brief M+C Saatchi Group Middle East has picked up from the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), following a multi-stage competitive pitch. The account covers RAKTDA's priority markets, which include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Germany, India, China, Russia and Kazakhstan as the authority pushes further into a set of markets it has identified for growth. RAKTDA has built its international profile around nature, adventure, luxury hospitality and cultural heritage, and the retainer is expected to focus on creative platforms that build on that positioning across audiences. M+C Saatchi's pitch drew on its Cultural Power philosophy, built around ideas designed to shape culture as well as deliver commercial results, and on the integrated capabilities it can bring to the account across strategy, creative, social, experience and production. Natalie Cooke, Chief Client Partner at M+C Saatchi Group Middle East, said the agency's task was to turn RAKTDA's ambitions into work that could travel internationally without losing its cultural authenticity. "The world's most successful destinations are never built on campaigns alone. They are built by creating a place people genuinely want to connect with, emotionally, culturally and commercially. Ras Al Khaimah has a remarkable story and an even more exciting future, and what makes this so compelling is the ambition behind it. This is an emirate thinking boldly about its place on the world stage while staying deeply rooted in who it is. "The appointment extends M+C Saatchi Group Middle East's work in destination marketing and place branding. The agency's regional client roster includes tourism, culture and economic development, including Aldar, Marriott International, Pizza Hut, Warner Bros. Discovery, DP World Tour Championship and Longines Global Champions Tour.
