Riyadh Air Begins Daily Direct Flights Between Riyadh and Dubai - Business Today Middle East

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, has officially launched daily direct flights connecting Riyadh and Dubai, marking another milestone in the airline’s rapid network expansion. The inaugural flight, RX243, departed from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh at 14:05 local time and landed at Dubai International Airport at 17:00 local time. The return service, RX244, departs Dubai at 18:30 and arrives in Riyadh at 19:20. The Dubai route becomes Riyadh Air’s third destination launch and forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to strengthen regional and international connectivity while positioning Riyadh as a major global aviation hub. Flights on the route are operated using the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering passengers a modern travel experience with premium cabin options, advanced in-flight entertainment, enhanced comfort, and a service model inspired by Saudi hospitality. The new service is expected to support growing demand for travel between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, providing additional connectivity for both business and leisure travelers while further strengthening economic, commercial, and tourism links between the two countries. The launch follows the delivery of four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to Riyadh Air in June, supporting the airline’s ongoing fleet expansion plans. As part of its long-term growth strategy, Riyadh Air aims to connect the Kingdom to more than 100 destinations worldwide by 2030, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation and tourism ambitions under Vision 2030.
