WATCH: New Pentagon UFO Files Reveal Mystery Objects Flying Over Middle East, Brazil

US NewsReported by:Naman TrivediUpdated Aug 8, 2026, 02:18 ISTThe Pentagon has released 41 new UFO records, including videos of unexplained objects over the Middle East and reports from Brazil, Afghanistan, Europe and other locations. Pentagon releases new batch of UFO filesThe Pentagon has released a new batch of 41 documents, photographs, and videos related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), including footage of unexplained objects recorded over the Middle East and reports from locations including Brazil, Sweden, Afghanistan, and the Pacific Ocean. The newly declassified records were posted on the Pentagon's public UFO archive on Friday, August 7. They come from the Pentagon, FBI, CIA, State Department, and Executive Office of the President and span more than seven decades, from 1950 through 2026. The release is the fifth batch of UFO-related records made public this year, following President Donald Trump's executive order directing government agencies to release UFO and UAP-related materials. New Videos Show Unresolved Objects Over Middle EastUFO pentagon videosOne of the newly released videos was submitted by US Central Command and shows footage captured by an electro-optical and infrared sensor aboard a US military platform over the Middle East in 2025. The Pentagon said the 1-minute-39-second video shows a sensor tracking an area of contrast across the background. The incident remains unresolved. Another major portion of the release involves footage from an encounter over the Gulf of Oman in September 2021. Six videos show different versions of the same incident, recorded from screens aboard an AC-130J gunship operated by Special Operations forces. An accompanying intelligence report said forces aboard the gunship observed approximately 25 instances of UAPs during a live-fire exercise. The objects were described as cold orbs flying at lower altitudes between 250 and 1,300 mph, sometimes moving in formations and maneuvering aggressively. The report also said some appeared to react when the aircraft fired its main cannon. The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office was unable to resolve the encounter. UFO pentagon videoThe latest files also include reports of unexplained sightings from Montana, Utah, Colorado, Brazil, Sweden, Afghanistan, the Pacific Ocean and the Middle East. Among the FBI records is an account from a former military pilot who described seeing a huge, silent, equilateral triangle over Bagram, Afghanistan, in 2002. The pilot estimated the object was around 500 feet in size and said it appeared to block out the stars as it moved overhead. UFO videos released by PentagonThe Pentagon said the latest archive contains unresolved cases, meaning the government has not made a definitive determination about the nature of the observed phenomena. Officials said additional UAP files will be released on a rolling basis.
